Events for the day include:
At Noon, theBoat Parade will process around Bomb Island.
At dusk (approximately 9:15pm) experience SC's Largest Fireworks display from multiple locations around the lake. The show has been choreographed to a patriotic concert that will air simultaneously on the Citadel Broadcasting Company stations: WTCB/ B106.7FM and WOMG/Oldies 103.

IRMO OKRA STRUT - The festival is a two day event featuring a street dance, parade, arts and crafts, rides and amusements, petting zoo, and lots of festival food. Attendance for the celebration is estimated at 55,000 annually. The festival is managed by a board of commissioners appointed by the Irmo Town Council and we are proud to say, "we are the nation's original celebration of Okra." Put on your cutest costume and head over to Riverbanks Zoo and Garden for the annual Halloween spook-tacular, Boo at the Zoo. The family-friendly Halloween event runs from 6 to 9pm each evening. Children 12 and under are invited to wear costumes for a spook-fest complete with Frankenstein's Foam Zone, an eeky freaky DJ dance party and a trick-or-treat trail with candy and more! Kids can also venture inside the Crow's Nest Hay Maze, ride on the haunted carousel and explore the Zoo at night!

Columbia's longest running holiday tradition, Lights Before Christmas illuminates the Zoo with nearly one million twinkling lights and more than 350 handcrafted images. Make a stop at the holiday village and take your photo with Santa. Roast marshmallows at the Jingle Bell Bonfire, and be sure to wear your hat - it snows nightly at Riverbanks during Lights Before Christmas.
